日迈月征，朝暮轮转。时间又一次走到了新旧交汇处，回望来时路，每一步都承载着使命与担当，绽放着光荣与梦想。此时此刻，我们向全校师生员工、离退休老同志、海内外校友、长期关心支持浙江师范大学建设发展的社会各界人士，致以衷心的感谢和新年的祝福！

回首2024，我们牢记嘱托，勇毅前行，坚定不移沿着习近平总书记指引的“综合性、高水平、特色鲜明”发展方向，奋发新征程，奋进双一流，在教育强国建设中书写浙师篇章，彰显浙师力量。

这一年，我们奋勇争先担使命，奋楫扬帆启新程。习近平总书记复信我校名誉教授格罗布勒等非洲50国学者，为浙师特色发展注入磅礴动能；学校胜利召开第七次党代会，系统擘画、统筹推进“1368”总体布局，“一校一策”方案正式通过省委常委会审议，高水平大学建设步入新阶段。综合实力连续14年在国内外多个有影响力的排行榜中位居百强，USNews2024世界大学排名中位列全球451位、中国大陆55位。高质量开展党纪学习教育，获批省清廉学校建设示范校；新增全国党建工作标杆院系、样板支部各1个，省级9个；凝心聚力画好统战同心圆，受邀参加中央统战部专题调研座谈会并作经验介绍。

这一年，我们立德树人守初心，培根铸魂育新人。落实新时代立德树人工程，获教育部高校思政工作质量提升综合改革与精品建设项目1项、全国“大思政课”优质资源示范项目1项。新增博士点6个，获批数并列省属高校第1，位居全国师范类大学第1，博士点总数达18个；获评省优秀博士、硕士学位论文13篇，6篇教学案例入选教育部案例库，并列全国师范院校首位。新增专业2个，90%专业通过师范类专业第二级认证，入选省首批人工智能教育应用试点校，人工智能助推教师队伍建设试点工作案例入选教育部典型案例。“五精五航”“四力四促”保障毕业生高质量充分就业，本科27个专业投档分位居省属同类高校同类专业第一，省内录取最高分创历史新高。本研学生获国家级奖项736项，第十届全国师范院校师范生教学技能竞赛一等奖数居全国之首；“挑战杯”中国大学生创业计划竞赛获奖总数居全国第二，金奖数居全国第五；中国国际大学生创新大赛金奖数、奖项总数蝉联全国师范院校第一，主赛道金奖数全国高校第七，学校成为联合国教科文组织中国创业教育联盟常务理事单位，并作为全国唯一师范院校加入“世界大学生创新联盟”。

这一年，我们攀高逐新走前列，行稳致远谱新篇。坚持以教育家精神铸魂强师，1人获中国政府友谊奖，为学校首位；1人获评全国教育系统先进工作者；校友、中非总统图瓦德拉受聘名誉教授，新增国家级人才13人，其中3人入选海外高层次人才；入选省高校首批“人才会客厅”重点建设单位，建设单位数居省属高校第一。全力推进数学、区域国别学登峰学科建设，数学学科居软科世界一流学科全球第68名，“中非达累斯萨拉姆共识”影响广泛，被纳入2024中非合作论坛北京峰会成果文件；获批中国－莫桑比克智慧农业“一带一路”联合实验室、教育部非洲联合研究院，正式启用全国首家国家孤独症儿童特殊教育资源中心，国家级科研创新平台实现重大突破；ESI全球排名前1%学科增至8个，2个进入前2‰；获批国家级项目128项，实现教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（人文社会科学）一等奖的突破。

这一年，我们开放办学提质效，赋能增力拓新局。深度参与中非合作论坛北京峰会，4大项目上升为国家行动；全国首个高水平中美联合教育学院、中非数字教育区域合作中心揭牌，入选教育部“中非高校百校合作计划”“中非大学联盟”交流机制；国际化总体水平排名列省属高校第一，举办中非智库论坛、中非大学校长对话会等37场高层次国际会议；成立中美青少年交流中心，中外青年人文交流深度推进。山区海岛县教育共富行动扎实推进。与省司法厅、海康威视等共建合作平台，与义乌、永康、浦江三地牵手深化校地合作，实现金华各县市区全覆盖。

这一年，我们服务发展强支撑，美丽浙师绽新颜。高质量推进基础设施提质工程，高标准谋划“一校一策”“两重两新”项目，学生公寓项目、理工科实验中心项目开工建设，完成全光网络改造工程，获省高校网络信息化建设工作先进单位。获评“省级优秀档案室”、校友会和教育基金会“双5A”高校，举办首届校友创新创业大赛。召开双代会年会，举办教职工荣休盛典，高效落实民生工程，完善警校智安联勤机制，教职工疗休养实现校级统筹，师生安全感、获得感、幸福感进一步提升。

2025年是教育强国建设全面布局、高位推进之年，是全面推进高水平大学建设的关键之年，是“十四五”规划的收官之年和“十五五”发展的谋划之年。奔赴远方的号角已经吹响，我们壮志满怀，以“六干”精神扛起建设创新浙江的使命担当，在全面建成特色鲜明的一流大学新征程上奋力交出新的高分答卷。

As days and months slip away and mornings and evenings weave an unbroken tapestry of time, we find ourselves once again at the threshold of a new year. Looking back on the journey we’ve taken, each step has been imbued with mission and responsibility, blossoming with honor and dreams. At this moment, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and New Year wishes to all faculty members, staff, students, retired colleagues, esteemed alumni both at home and abroad, and all those from various sectors who have consistently supported the growth and development of Zhejiang Normal University.

As we reflect on 2024, we remained steadfast in our mission, taking bold strides as we aligned ourselves with the “comprehensive, high-level, and distinctive” development path championed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. United in purpose, we embarked on a new journey toward excellence, contributing significantly to the national educational landscape while demonstrating the strength and distinctiveness of Zhejiang Normal University.

This year, we rose to our responsibilities with enthusiasm, embracing new challenges and opportunities. A letter of response from General Secretary Xi Jinping to our honorary professor, Gert Grobler, representing scholars from 50 African countries, infused vitality into our distinctive development path. The successful convening of our seventh Party Congress defined the “1368” development strategy. Our “One University, One Strategy” proposal has been officially approved by the Provincial Standing Committee. These efforts propelled us into a new phase of high-level university construction. For 14 consecutive years, we have consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in influential national and international rankings, with the 2024 US News ranking placing us 451st globally and 55th on China’s mainland. We have been vigorously promoting high-quality Party discipline learning and education initiatives, which has led to our recognition as a provincial model institution in the construction of a corruption-free educational environment. Furthermore, one of our college Party committees was  recognized as a national benchmark, and one Party branch was designated as a national model, accompanied by nine similar accolades at the provincial level. In united front work, we have been actively uniting all forces and drawing a tight-knit concentric circle. Our exemplary efforts earned us an invitation to a special research symposium organized by the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, where we had the privilege of sharing our valuable experiences.

This year, we have stayed true to our mission of nurturing virtue and cultivating talent while remaining faithful to our foundational principles. In line with the New Era Moral Education Initiative, we have been granted one project under the Ministry of Education’s comprehensive reform and high-quality development of ideological and political work in institutions of higher education, as well as one exemplary project of high-quality resources for the national “Grand Ideological and Political Course”. We have received approval for six new doctoral programs, which places us in a tie for first among provincial universities and first among normal universities nationwide, raising our total to 18 doctoral programs. Furthermore, we have earned recognition for 13 outstanding doctoral and master’s theses at the provincial level, and six of our teaching cases have been selected for the Ministry of Education’s case database, also tying us first among normal universities nationwide in this area. We successfully introduced two new majors and achieved an impressive 90% pass rate for our programs on the second-level certification for teacher training. Additionally, we were chosen as one of the first provincial pilot universities in artificial intelligence education, and our AI-driven teacher development model was highlighted as an exemplary case by the Ministry of Education. We have taken a series of measures to ensure high-quality employment for graduates. The admission scores for 27 undergraduate majors ranked first among similar programs in provincial universities, and the highest admission score in the province has reached a historic high. On the competitive front, we excelled in national-level academic and professional competitions, securing 736 remarkable awards earned by both undergraduate and postgraduate students. We proudly achieved the highest number of first prizes in the 10th National Teaching Skills Competition for Normal University Students nationwide. Additionally, our performance in the “Challenge Cup” earned us a national ranking of second, with our gold awards placing us fifth overall. In the China International College Students Innovation Competition, we secured the top spot among normal universities for both the total number of awards and gold medals. Furthermore, we are honored to become an executive council member of the UNESCO China Entrepreneurship Education Alliance and  the only normal university included in the “World University Students Innovation Alliance”.

This year, we have ambitiously pursued new objectives and made remarkable strides, solidifying our foundation for a promising future while opening exciting new chapters in our journey. Upholding the spirit of educational excellence, we celebrated significant achievements among our faculty and alumni.  One faculty member received the prestigious Chinese Government Friendship Award, marking the first time this honor has been bestowed upon a member of our university. Another faculty member has been recognized as an advanced worker within the national education system. Additionally, our esteemed alumnus, President Faustin-Archange Touadéra of the Central African Republic, was appointed as an honorary professor at our institution. Moreover, we welcomed 13 new national-level talents, including three high-level overseas professionals. Our university was selected as one of the inaugural key construction units for the provincial “Talent Reception Hall”, establishing us as a leader among provincial colleges and universities in this important initiative. Our commitment to advancing the mathematics and regional studies disciplines has yielded impressive results, with mathematics now ranked 68th according to the ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. The Africa-China Dar es Salaam Consensus has gained significant recognition, as it has been incorporated into the outcome documents of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in Beijing. We also received approval to establish the China-Mozambique Joint Laboratory for Smart Agriculture under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the Ministry of Education’s African Joint Research Institute. We took the lead in inaugurating the National Special Education Resource Center for Children with Autism, marking significant milestones in our national scientific innovation endeavors. Our achievements in research excellence continued with eight disciplines now ranked in the top 1% of ESI globally, with two disciplines entering the top 2‰. Furthermore, we successfully obtained approvals for 128 national-level projects and made a momentous breakthrough by winning the first prize in the Ministry of Education’s Outstanding Achievements Award in Scientific Research (Humanities and Social Sciences) .

This year, we have embraced open educational practices to enhance quality and effectiveness while empowering ourselves to explore new horizons. We actively participated in the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, where four major projects were elevated to national action status. We proudly inaugurated the nation’s first high-level Sino-U.S. Joint Education Institute and the Center for China-Africa Digital Education Regional Cooperation. Additionally, our university has been recognized by the Ministry of Education as a member of both the China-Africa Universities 100 Cooperation Plan and the China-Africa Consortium of Universities Exchange Mechanism. As a testament to our commitment to internationalization, we rank first among provincial colleges and universities in this regard and have successfully hosted 37 high-level international conferences, including the China-Africa Think Tank Forum and the China-Africa University Presidents Dialogue. Furthermore, we established the China-U.S. Youth Exchange Center, which has greatly enhanced cultural exchanges between young people in China and around the globe. Domestically, we are also making solid strides in promoting equitable education in mountainous and island regions. Collaborative platforms have been established in cooperation with the Provincial Department of Justice and the Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd. The partnerships with Yiwu, Yongkang, and Pujiang have been strengthened, leading to the realization of comprehensive educational coverage throughout the Jinhua region.

This year, we have provided robust support for development, and our beautiful Zhejiang Normal University is flourishing with renewed vitality. Significant progress has been made in advancing infrastructure improvement projects, with meticulous implementation of key initiatives such as the “One University, One Strategy” and the “Two Major Initiatives and Two New Policies”. Construction has commenced on prominent projects, including new student dormitories and a science and engineering experimental center,  while the all-optical network upgrade has been successfully completed. These efforts have earned us recognition as an advanced unit in network informatization construction within provincial universities. We have also been honored with the title of “Provincial Excellent Archive Room” and have obtained “Double 5A” ratings for our Alumni Association and Education Foundation. Besides, the first Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was a great success. We held the annual meeting of the Double Session, hosted a grand retirement ceremony for our faculty and staff, and effectively promoted public welfare projects. Furthermore, we optimized the intelligent security cooperation mechanism with the police, and implemented a university-level coordinated plan for faculty and staff recuperation and wellness. Consequently, the sense of security, fulfillment, and happiness among teachers and students has been substantially elevated.

Looking ahead, 2025 will be a pivotal year for the comprehensive planning and high-level advancement of building an education powerhouse. It is a crucial year in our pursuit of  establishing a high-level university, marking the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the strategic initiation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. The call to action has already sounded, and with unwavering determination, we are all set to embrace the “Six Spirits of Endeavors” and shoulder the mission of driving innovation in Zhejiang province. As we embark on this new journey to build a distinctive first-class university, we are committed to achieving exceptional outcomes.
