宫东风，辽宁省凤城市人，1965年出生，16岁上大学，19岁在职业学院进修英语。

他在学校期间的《论翻译中的“信”》获得学士优秀毕业论文。在西安交通大学出版社、高等教育出版社、中国大百科全书出版社、外语教学与研究出版社等多家出版机构出版英语教学与考试系列图书，并担任主编之一。自创的“必考点教学法”，对考研工作做出了努力和探究。认真负责讲课幽默风趣，因材施教、奖惩有度。
