三、童子鸡的英文怎么翻译

自2006年3月起,北京市外办、市旅游局等相关单位就启动了对本市饭店业、餐饮业的中英文菜单进行核查以及专家翻译审核工作。此次征集意见的《中文菜单英文译法》曾被翻译成“没有性生活的鸡”的“童子鸡”,此次公布的翻译方法为“Spring Chicken”;曾被译为“烧红了的狮子的头”的“红烧狮子头”此次公布的规范译法为“Stewed Pork Ball in Brown Sauce”。使用汉语拼音进行翻译,比如饺子(Jiaozi);使用地方语言拼写或音译拼写的中国特色菜名也仍保留其拼写方式,比如宫保鸡丁(KungPao Chicken);馄饨(Wonton);豆腐(Tofu)……一些无法体现其做法及主配料的中文菜名,使用汉语拼音,并在后标注英文注释,比如窝头“Wotou”(Steamed Black Rice or Corn Bun);咕噜肉“Gulaorou”(Sweet and Sour Pork with Fat)等。
